This is a rare March 12th, 1938 souvenir program from the Forty-Second annual HUNDREDTH NIGHT SHOW ... "PASS IN REVUE" at the New Cadet Gymnasium in West Point, New York. (The cadets presented only two performances of the show.) .....Since 1871, the 100th Night Show allowed cadets, who are 100 days away from graduation, to take a creative, yet humorous take on their four-year experience at the U.S. Military Academy. The performances came with lighthearted, playful jeers at faculty members who left profound impressions, West Point traditions, specific events, predicaments and the typical lifestyle of cadets making their rounds through the academy as they work toward graduation ..... DETAILS: The oversized 52 page program measures 8 3/4" X 12 1/4" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes, list of musical numbers, promotional and historical text, individual photos of the Composers, Officers and Staff, group photos of the cast, the Cadet Orchestra, the construction crew, the scenery crew, the singing chorus, the dancing chorus, the department heads, the electrical crew, the curtains and rigging crew and the property crew as well as printed music for the original songs and several production photos ..... CONDITION: With the exception of moderate edge wear to the covers, this rare program is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
