    - INTERESTING 40+ PCS LOT RELATED TO THE OWNERSHIP & OPERATION OF THE OLD MILL
    THEATER
    IN DALLAS, TX + DALTON BROS THEATER OPERATIONS IN CALIFORNIA -
    This group of documents, letters, financial records, etc is related to Frank Dalton & Roy Dalton. The Dalton brothers operated the Old Mill & Feature Theatre in Dallas as early as 1913 and by the 1920's they were managing and promoting vaudeville acts and beginning to operate motion picture houses in Southern California.
    This fantastic group of rare material represents insight into the world of vaudeville and stage performing in Texas in the early part of the 20th century.
    A partial list of items included

    * A handwritten letter dated Feb 1916 from W.C. Cooper to  F.O. Dalton in Dallas, Texas re: sending a payment on an past debt.
    * Typed letter dated 1919 to a 'Mr. Therwald Selberg' of the Copywright department at the Library of Congress for an application for a 'Musical Comedy'
    * Typed and signed document from an attorney 'William H. Brown' dated 1909 from Ennis, Texas. to F.O. Dalton regarding a land transaction.
    * A Pacific Greyhound Lines form filled out by T.V. Dalton from 1935.
    * (Rare) Itemized Cost list of Construction for The Old Mill Theatre circa 1912 ? (2 pp typed document)
    * Typed lease agreement for an orchestrion ? 'Brisgovia Luxus #3041'  dated 1911.
    * 1907 typed and signed land deed for W.S. Dalton and his wife Eria (?) Dalton.
    * 1916 handwritten letter from a 'Roy' in San Antonio, Texas to Frank Dalton.
    * 1917 handwritten letter from 'Roy' in San Angelo, Texas to 'Brother'.
    * 1912 Poll Tax receipt for F.O. Dalton. (Dallas, County Texas)
    * 1913 typed letter on company letterhead from 'The Victor Safe & Lock Co.' to the Dalton Bros. (operating instructions)
    * 1929 Promissory note drawn on Bank of America of California signed by both R.A. Dalton (Roy) and F.O. Dalton.
    * x 2 stock share acknowledgements for 'The Republic National Bank' of Dallas, TX. (to F.O. and R.A. Dalton)
    * (rare and important) 1917 typed letter regarding F.O. Dalton's purchase of a diamond stick pin from Mrs A. Burkman ON OLD MILL THEATRE LETTERHEAD with the photos of both brothers and the the Theater in letterhead. + enclosed receipt from a Dallas jeweler 'J. Henenberg'. The stick pin had over 8.5 carats of diamonds and the Mrs. Burkman was paid .00.
    * A bank draft from 1929 for ,040.00 to a B.E. Greene in Los Angeles signed by both Dalton Bros. (in the notes section is '534 S. Bdwy'. We're assuming this was for the purchase (partial or whole?) of the Arcade / Pantages Theatre at that location)
    * West Coast Theatres  - Vaudeville Division  - Booking sheets x 5 - showing payments to Vaudeville actors & actresses from 1928.
    * Burbank Theatre talent list
    * Group of 17 'Elks membership / dues / card slips from 1910 - 1918 for Frank Dalton.
    * x 2 'West Coast Service Corp' actress list  with age and heights for 'Vaudville Acts' (1st line, 2nd line, 3rd line)
